This new math classroom building opened to students in the fall of 2010. By the spring of 2011, this building became the first K-12 school in Oklahoma to achieve a LEED 2.0 Silver rating. ED/A MEP provided the full design of the MEP systems, along with the guidance and documentation required to achieve the LEED rating.
This classroom building features sound dampening and natural daylighting to provide a productive learning environment for all students. Part of this green design included:
- water source heat pumps for heating and cooling,
- energy-efficient lighting, and
- water conserving plumbing fixtures.
